New Orleans dance troupes came together on Sunday (Aug. 23) to put their good moves to work for the “Hawaiian Blood Drive,” organized by the New Orleans Musicians Clinic and the Organ Grinders dance troupe. The combination blood drive and dance troupe participation was an idea borne out of conversations between NOMC’s Erica Dudas and the Organ Grinder founder Christina Duggar about their concerns about the city.

Earlier blood drives had been organized around a catastrophic event, but this year they decided to have it near the end of summer, to “Get all the troupes together and remind us why we love the city,” said Duggar, aka Chief Organ Grinder…
