June 1st – November 30th is Hurricane Season. Be prepared! 

Hurricane Season is here and the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic & Assistance Foundation wants to ensure you and your loved ones are ready. Protect yourself, your loved ones and your property with the following hurricane safety tips. Stay safe!

 

 


Hurricane Safety Tips:

Make a Plan – Every family and workplace should plan for emergencies visit this PLAN page for help
Have an Emergency Go Bag – Each person should have their own go bag. Pack essentials, don’t forget important documents & identification.
Stock Supplies at Home – Have an emergency kit ready with supplies for at least 3+ days. See a list of supplies.

Water, batteries, flashlights, first aid kit, mosquito repellent, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, 1 week supply of non-perishable food including nuts, dried fruit, almond milk, low sodium canned goods.
Register Special Needs – Register if you need assistance evacuating during an emergency or call 311 today.
Flood Proof Your Home & Belongings – Prop up furniture, store valuables at high levels in waterproof containers. Park car on high ground.
Have Medical Supplies & Medications on Hand – Prepare for 30+ days, know your Rx name & dosage.
Follow Emergency Instructions – Follow protocols regarding evacuation, Check radio, tv or other media. Sign up here for emergency alerts.

 


Update your info in the Patient Portal today. This will allow us to get in touch with you and also allow you online access to your medical records and information in the case of an evacuation.

  NOLA Ready, the City of New Orleans’ hurricane preparedness campaign, has useful information, support and emergency updates.
