New Orleans Musicians' Assistance Foundation

The New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation (NOMAF) is the 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to support NOMC financially, administratively, and programmatically with achieving goals that promote and advance improvements in the health of musicians in the New Orleans area. Our mission is to serve as the principal catalyst in New Orleans for protecting and preserving the legacy and health of New Orleans musicians by connecting them to health care services and programs that assist with achieving improvements in their health and wellbeing.

Who are we?

NOMAF is made up of a small team of community members dedicated to supporting NOLA’s cultural workers. From fundraisers to blood drives, we work to support the mission of the musician’s clinic and educate our community on the health issues that affect them.

What do we do?

Although our main purpose is to help secure the clinic’s ability to provide low-cost, high-quality healthcare, we also have multiple health initiatives based on the needs of our unique community. Through these programs, we work hand-in-hand with the clinic to provide musicians and culture bearers with the care they need, as well as promote heath literacy, advocacy, and preemptive care.

How can you help?

  1. Donate to break down the barriers standing between musicians’ and culture bearers’ access to the healthcare they deserve.
  2. Join our Legacy Society through a simple designation in your will or retirement account.
  3. Fundraise Virtually and help support NOLA’s cultural community.
  4. Volunteer your time or professional services.
  5. Spread the word about NOMC&AF to those in need.
