Makin’ Groceries
Launched in June 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Makin’ Groceries provides nutritious grocery bags, prepared meals, and health education materials delivered every week to a group of 100 elderly, immunocompromised, and medically at-risk NOMC patients and their families.
In partnership with the Howlin’ Wolf and local restaurants and organizations, this is our way of showing gratitude and admiration for the profound influence our elders have on our local culture and keeping them healthy. This program is co-produced by local musicians and Friends of the NOMC co-chair Laura Schweigman and lovingly held together by dedicated volunteers and supporters.
